Barcelona Winter Sales
The traditional post-Christmas Sales have kicked off in Barcelona and at record discounts they are believed to be the biggest sales in decades in attempt to revive the heavily effected commercial sector during 2009. The sales will last up to a month with further discounts in later weeks. While passing through the shops one can pass through the beautifully historic streets here from market place to market place and enjoy a selection of more personal items and possible antiques and enjoy a coffee while you watch others do the same.

Las Rebajas Barcelona
Las rebajas de invierno estan aqui y es que de hecho seran las primeras que se daran en 2010 y que comenzaran en toda Espana el 7 de Enero, siendo Barcelona tal vez, una de las ciudades que mas se vuelca en ellas.
De hecho a partir del 1 de Enero seguro que comenzaran a promocionarse las rebajas 2010 de Barcelona con las principales firmas promocionandose en la ciudad, en la television y en los medios de prensa escrita.
La ciudad condal celebra cada ano y sin falta sus temporadas de rebajas, tanto de invierno como de verano. Las primeras acaban el 31 de Marzo mientras que las otras comienzan el 1 de Julio y acaban el 31 de Agosto.
No olvides que las rebajas es mejor que las programemos y mas en Barcelona ya que siendo una gran ciudad, la afluencia de compradores que acuden a ellas es mayor asi que es mejor tener claro que prendas necesitamos y en que tiendas podemos encontrarlas para despues ahorrarnos interminables jornadas de rebajas que incluso pueden dar como resultado el que no encontremos lo que estemos buscando.

In DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Dubai prepared to inaugurate the world's tallest skyscraper, hoping to shift international attention away from the Gulf emirate's deep financial crisis and rekindle the optimism that fueled its turbocharged growth.
As crews rushed to complete the final preparations for the official opening of the more than 160-story Burj Dubai Monday evening, the developer announced about $1.5 billion to build. That comes out to more than $9 million per floor.
The exact final height of the tower has not been released, with the developer Emaar Properties saying only that the spire stands more than 800 yards (meters) tall. Mohammed Alabbar, Emaar's chairman, said Dubai's ruler will announce the height at the evening inauguration ceremony.
Alabbar said the landmark glass-and-metal clad tower is 90 percent sold in a mix of residential units, offices and other space, offering a counterpoint to Dubai's financial woes. The Gulf boomtown is now mired in debt and many buildings sit largely empty — the result of overbuilding during a property bubble that has since burst.
Still, the tower's developer and other officials were in a festive mood, focusing on the city-state's future potential rather than past missteps.
"Crises come and go. And cities move on," Alabbar told reporters before the inauguration. "You have to move on. Because if you stop taking decisions, you stop growing."
At a reported height of 2,684 feet (818 meters), the Burj Dubai long ago vanquished its nearest rival, the Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
The Burj's record-seeking developers didn't stop there.
The building boasts the most stories and highest occupied floor of any building in the world, and ranks as the world's tallest structure, beating out a television mast in North Dakota. Its observation deck — on floor 124 — also sets a record.
"We weren't sure how high we could go," said Bill Baker, the building's structural engineer, who is in Dubai for the inauguration. "It was kind of an exploration. ... A learning experience"

Barcelona International Airport opened its doors several months ago and now is more than prepared for the arrival of the new eco-friendly Boeing 787 Dreamliner, set to make its first test flight, almost two and a half years late.
Grounded by a series of hitches, including design problems, strikes and even a shortage of bolts, Boeing has pegged its hopes for the future on the plane, which promises to be one of the most fuel-efficient in the world.
It has attracted some 840 orders from all over the globe, although some have been cancelled because of the delays. Its popularity is partly thanks to its lightweight design. Made of carbon and titanium, it should reduce fuel consumption as well as save on maintenance costs.
Some 840 orders for the 787 Dreamliner makes the plane worth about $140bn (£86bn) for Boeing, but first, the aerospace giant must get the plane ready for delivery to airlines.
Analysts warn that the maiden flight is just a step towards that goal, not a sign that everything is fine.
The 787 is already 30 months behind schedule and there could be further delay as the aircraft begins test flights and seeks federal certification
Boeing says it will deliver the plane to customers by the end of 2010. Analysts say that is a very optimistic timetable while the design aims to make the plane nimble and able to fly long distances without refuelling.

"She was arrested for driving under the influence," said Officer Sara Faden, who added that Kerry was released on $5,000 bail.
It was reported that Kerry refused to take Breathalyzer test at the scene. A later test showed a level of 0.06, under the legal limit of 0.08.
